Terms of Service

Last updated: October 2026

1. Scope

These terms apply to services provided by ContentRights, including copyright monitoring, DMCA notices, Digital Services Act notices, search-engine delisting, cease and desist letters, investigations, and related anti-piracy work. A signed service agreement or written statement of work may add terms for a specific engagement.

2. How the service works

You authorize ContentRights to investigate and report suspected infringement of content you own or are authorized to represent. You agree to provide accurate ownership information, URLs, and supporting material. A few sample PDFs of paid content are typically enough for us to begin, although some cases require more evidence.

Unless a separate written engagement says otherwise, ContentRights is a copyright enforcement service and not your attorney. Legal representation, lawsuits, and injunction requests are handled through separate counsel and remain subject to applicable law and court approval.

3. Notice volume and timing

A plan's monthly number is the number of DMCA or Digital Services Act notices we send. It is not a promise that the same number of removals will occur. Providers may ignore one to four notices before taking action. Removal can take three to six months and, depending on the provider and jurisdiction, up to a year. We track cases and use an escalation path when appropriate.

Digital Services Act notices for qualifying European Union matters are priced the same as regular DMCA notices. Notice outcomes depend on the receiving service, the evidence, the jurisdiction, and the provider's policies.

4. Telegram and legal escalation

Telegram enforcement is separate from standard plans. It costs $250 per month for the listed service volume and requires additional signed paperwork and a separate contract. Telegram may take up to 120 days to process removal requests.

The $7,000 lawsuit and injunction option is separate legal action coordinated through counsel. A lawsuit or injunction is not guaranteed. Any relief depends on the facts, jurisdiction, counsel, and court approval.

5. Fees

Monthly plans, add-ons, and one-time services are billed at the prices in the applicable service agreement. Cease and Desist letters cost $400 each. Work outside the agreed scope may require written approval and an additional fee.

6. Client responsibilities

You are responsible for confirming that your instructions and ownership claims are accurate. You must not ask us to submit knowingly false notices, target lawful speech, or interfere with content you do not own or represent. We may pause work when information is incomplete or a request appears unlawful.

7. Confidentiality and communication

We use your materials and communications to provide the service, prepare evidence, and communicate with platforms, providers, counsel, and other necessary parties. We take reasonable steps to protect confidential information. Details about retention and sharing are described in our Privacy Policy.

8. No guarantee

ContentRights uses reasonable professional efforts but cannot guarantee removal, delisting, account action, payment disruption, a particular timeline, or a specific legal outcome. Third parties control their platforms, servers, policies, and response times.
